  1. If you want to be clever and save water, you can add a few drops of dish washing liquid and then pour the "wash water" out of the TM into the sink to wash other dishes.

  2. I've aso been given this tip by another thermo friend - use any unwanted eggshells and place them in with the water to get a scrubbing type action!

  3. Rice and wheat starch are really great as a soap alternative on dishes.

    When pasta cooks, wheat starch is released into the water. Instead of pouring down the sink drain pasta over pots and pans to be washed.

    Rice starch is released when washing rice prior to cooking. Again, pour it over dishes rather than down the sink.

    If you wash your rice using the TM bowl, place the TM basket over the rice and wash water, hold it in position with your hand or TM spatula and strain the water off. The rice will remain the the TM bowl.

    The same process can be used when washing dahls prior to cooking.
